Vehicle route fuel margin

Estimate route consumption and usable range from recorded fuel economy.

How it is calculated

Planned distance = route × (1 + contingency fraction). Fuel = planned distance × L/100 km ÷ 100. Usable range = (stock − reserve) × 100 ÷ L/100 km.

Assumptions & limits

Use a rate suitable for load and conditions. Congestion, idling, road closures and terrain may greatly increase consumption. This does not establish a safe evacuation route. Defaults are illustrative planning inputs, not recommended minimums or a guarantee of safety.
